Hiking between Magome-juku and Tsumago-juku and there is a tearoom in an old house that provides rest and respite. I also love that this hotel supports wood artisans and preserve their story. I enjoyed learning about the wood economy of Kiso area.

What made you choose this Hotel Fukinomori?

Ease (east access from JR Nagiso) breakfast, kaiseki dinner was a bonus.

• Maybe earlier breakfast
• Earlier shuttle for those starting hike earlier
• My bathroom has a slight unpleasant smell form toilet not sure where it came from but it did not bother me
