We really enjoyed our time at Fukinomori. It was very peaceful; great relaxing. The onsen is beautiful. It was especially memorable to sit in the onsen outside; watch the stars.

The location near Nagiso and Tsumago
It had an onsen; the photos online were beautiful.

Sometimes the hot water that comes from the sink can be extremely hot, maybe there is a way to turn the temperature down?

The hike/ walk from Tsumago to Magome was beautiful – we loved seeing the history and spending time

Walking in the Nakasendo trail between Magome and Tsumago was beautiful. We took many photos!

The menu looked lovely but was unfortunately not to our taste. Offering other meals such as gyudon, ramen, or curries would be welcome.

We loved hiking in the mountains in Kyoto and Miyajime. The onsen was a welcome back from the hectic city life.

Lights up to the bath were off, had to ask staff

Firstly, the staffs here were exemplary. You were very kind to accommodate us with an earlier breakfast. The service was great! The hotel is absolutely lovely! Wished we had stayed a few days longer.

Our walk through the Nakasendo highway was breathtakingly beautiful. The castle in Matsumoto was very impressive on our way to Tsumago. We really enjoyed Tokyo + me standing Izakayas in Shinbashi station. Fukinomori Ryokan was an amazing experience from the food to the onsen baths.

The shuttle bus to Tsumago + Nagiso station could be a little more flexible.
