Loved walking in the kiso valley, beautifully presented food, has the hot spring baths.

Everyone we have met has been so friendly and helpful we’ve been saved fromboarding the wrong train twice in 5 days loops.

Maybe have less food at dinner, we were full by the fourth course and felt bad not being able to finish everything we were given.

While taking the Shinkausen, many strangers were helping us with our luggage.

Beautiful property + rooms.
Reasonable price 22.000 yen room + breakfast.
English speaking staff, beautiful onsen.

We were seated at the western dining room for all our meals – not very private, can hear other guests conversations, would be nice to have a Japanese screwed room for at least one meal.

We really enjoyed our stay. The Nakasendo trail was a highlight. It was challenging, beautiful, tiring and spiritual all at the same time. The food for dinner and breakfast was presented beautifully, tasted great and interesting.

We loved the walking journey on the Nakasendo trail. It made the tranquility and serenity of fukinomori more beautiful.

The hike between Magome and Tsumago was very nice.
Also liked sitting in the tea salon reading & drinking tea. Very calm & relaxing.
