There was some trash outside on the grass which caused noise once the rain fell on it. Besides this, we really enjoyed this beautiful stay.

The beautiful forest and trail the bear bells. How green it is.

Smaller slippers that fit well for walking up the dirt path to the bath. Mine fell off a few times.  I think it would not be pleasant if it was raining and muddy

It was a real pleasure to discover the kaiseki kitchen at Fukinomori and to enjoy onsen. The hike between Magome and Tsumago is beautiful, we really enjoyed this journey and the old chaya in the middle.

Some furniture in the room (sofas) does not match the rest of the hotel look. I would go for a slower luxury look.

We booked the hotel through our travel.

It was the suggestion of the travel agency.

On the evening of our arrival my husband got sick, but the driver and reception staff was very helpful driving and accompanying me to a pharmacy. Unfortunately, we missed all the activities and a lot of meals.

花桃の咲き誇る景色はまさに桃源境を現在化した様な素晴らしいものと再確認しました。そしてやはり風呂の風情と、地産地消の山の滋味にこだわった夕食とバランス最高の朝食の素晴らしさと味・手間・気遣いには本当に感動しました。

We have been amazed by the kindness of the people we have met. People have gone above and beyond to be helpful. Hotel Fukinomori has been a highlight of our stay. The hotel is beautiful. The onsen was a wonderful time of relaxation after a long hot day of hiking. Dinner was wonderful but so much food for a tired American. I could not eat everything. Thank you for this wonderful Ryokan.

We are only at the beginning of our trip. So far one thing that impressed us is how friendly and polite people are everywhere. Also, the contrast between busy Tokyo and the Kiso valley countryside, the beautiful woods here.
